Campaign Kick Off for Weld County
Greeley, Colorado Spearheads Multi-Faceted Digital Campaign to Boost Tourism for Weld County
Greeley, Colorado, April 5, 2018 - Visit Greeley, the tourism arm of the Greeley, Colorado Chamber of Commerce is set to launch a new online campaign designed to boost visitor and tourism revenues for Greeley and communities throughout Weld County.
The “You Just Gotta Get Here” slogan will kick off the campaign mainly through online and social outlets. The tagline is a call to action to the audience that this is an area of Colorado worth checking out, and it’s also quite easy to get to. Southern-most towns within the county are just a short 20 minute drive north of Denver, while Greeley and surrounding communities are less than an hour.
“Tourism has a tremendous impact on Colorado’s economy, with more than 7 million visitors every year, yet many of these visitors are not aware of all that this area has to offer,” said Amy Dugan, Director of Visit Greeley. “This new tourism brand will highlight the rich collection of cultural and natural attractions that make Weld County not just a great place to visit, but a great place to live.”
Accompanying imagery for the ads will focus on area highlights and experiences— music festivals, fine dining, craft breweries, antiquing, outdoor adventure, the arts, rodeos and more. Photography and video will begin to populate the targeted social feeds leading the audience on a journey where they will be surprised by what they discover. Included in the campaign will be the new tagline, social media advertisements, and high impact videos as well as other creative messaging where opportunities permit.
In order to maximize every dollar of the budget, the central focus will be on maintaining a strong online and social conversation. The platforms will allow for a steady and trackable engagement using video and graphics and allow the campaign to target a wider audience more effectively. The videos, ads, and social posts will be designed to appeal to a broad age demographic and target both new and repeat visitors from within Colorado as well as neighboring states.
Weld County is one of the fastest growing areas not only in the state but also the country, with the largest population located in the county seat of Greeley. The campaign will kick off in early April on the social outlets for @visitgreeley and will be mirrored to include surrounding communities through @discoverweld.
