Weld County is home to the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), a campus with a rich history. This week is homecoming week at UNC, and there are many events happening. Here is a list of some of the upcoming events this weekend to celebrate homecoming with the blue and gold crew!
Bears Harvest Market
Come explore a wide variety of local produce coupled with other foods and goodies sourced from your favorite local brands including Vale Snacks, Mom’s Popcorn, Sweet Talk Shoppe, Mariposa Plants & Gifts, Tigges Farm and many more! Tailgate and football game
Enjoy the fun of college football at this week’s Homecoming Tailgate starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. Snacks, drinks, games and giveaways will be plentiful! Homecoming 5K
Lace up your running shoes for the Homecoming 5K! This fun and festive race welcomes participants of all skill levels and is a perfect way to kick off the weekend while connecting with fellow Bear fans. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the UNC Campus Recreation Center. The registration fee is $25 and can be paid at the event. Women's volleyball vs. Idaho State
Don’t miss a thrilling match as UNC's women's volleyball team faces Idaho State at 6 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 28. Join the roar of the crowd and support Bear athletes as they strive for victory on their home court at the Bank of Colorado Arena. College of Osteopathic Medicine groundbreaking
Be part of a historic moment as UNC celebrates the groundbreaking of its new College of Osteopathic Medicine on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at parking lot "B" south of Bishop-Lehr Hall. This event marks a significant step toward enhancing health care education and services in the Weld County community, promising a bright future for aspiring medical professionals.
