Farmers Market season is here! Weld County is the No. 1 agricultural county in Colorado and leads the state in the production of sugar beets, grains, dry beans, potatoes, beef cattle, eggs, poultry and milk. Whether you're looking for fresh produce or locally made products, our area markets won't disappoint. Wander through the tents, chat with the vendors, and enjoy the experience of interacting directly with the people who grow our food. Most markets run from May through September. Greeley Farmers Market

The Greeley Farmers Market offers both a winter-season market and a summer-season market, providing residents with an opportunity to access local goods year-round. A selection of root crops, winter squash, and greenhouse-grown produce is available for shoppers. Other offerings include locally raised meats, fresh bread, honey, handmade gifts, and various other items. The summer market is currently open through Oct. 6, 2024, at a new location in downtown Greeley on 7th St. between 9th and 10th Ave., just north of Lincoln Park.

Pope Farms Produce and Garden Center

Pope Farms Produce and Garden Center, open year-round and known as the one-stop mom and pop shop, is home to homegrown produce and plants. At Pope Farms, locally grown produce and plants are grown, bought, and sold to ensure that visitors have access to the freshest options. Fresh produce is available during the fall and summer months, along with potting soils and compost. Pope Farms can be visited any day of the week, with store hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Platteville Market Days

Platteville Market Days, which kicked off in June, are held every first Saturday of the month from June to September, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Fort Vasquez, situated at 13412 U.S. Highway 85. Milliken Market Days

The 4th Annual Milliken Market Days occur on the third Saturday of each month from May to October, from 3 to 6 p.m. at 1109 Broad St. in Milliken. Johnstown Farmers Market

This farmers market is held on Fridays from June to October, between 4 and 8 p.m. at Charlotte St. and Parish Ave. in Johnstown. For additional information, please visit nfmd.org.

Windsor Farmers Market

The Windsor Farmers Market, offering locally sourced produce and goods, along with food trucks and live music, opens Saturdays from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2024, at 8 a.m. It is located at 100 N. 5th St. in Windsor. For more information, visit recreationliveshere.com.

Frederick Farmers Market

The Town of Frederick provides a venue for local growers, farmers, artisans, crafters, and nonprofits to participate in signature events. Events include:

Erie Farmers Market

The Erie Farmers Market is held on Thursdays (excluding July 4, 2024) from May 9 to Sept. 26, 2024, between 5 and 8 p.m. It is located on Briggs Street between Wells and Moffatt. Locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, breads, honey, cheese, baked goods, coffee, natural body care products, and more are offered to the community at the Erie Farmers Market.
